How to prepare a theme study (Supp. p. 18).  Include short 450-word theme study by an 8th grade student.  I will read from Common Sense out loud today (entire second hour).

1         Read pp. 71-96 in your syllabus: John Woolman, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards “Personal Narrative,” “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” “Hymn to Science,” The Awakening of America, The Bible and the Dawn of the American Dream, a chart of American government - which Secretary is missing?  Secretary of Home Defense! “Common Sense” intro, Phyllis Wheatley, and historical trivia on page 96.
