READING: Finish and re-read Self-Reliance, Longfellow handouts

WRITING:

Prepare a Worldview short essay to explain or compare the changes in thought and worldview from Puritan to Emerson.  How is Emerson different from the Puritans?  Choose a topic: comparison, progression of thought, or, narrow your focus to a particular issue, such as the Condition of Man, Views toward Nature, of the Necessity of Work.   Use quotes from the text to support your ideas.  Paper is due Session 13.

Grades 7/8 minimum 200 words (excludes quotes)

Grades 9/10 minimum 330 words (excludes quotes)

Grades 11/12 minimum 450 words (excludes quotes)
